Pay Range: $66,955.20 - $100,422.40
Summary:
The Human Resources Consultant is a key liaison and partner to leadership and provides comprehensive human resources expertise and support related to employment practices, access to legal resources and general guidance in developing a relationship between leaders and employees working across the organization supporting a variety of functions. The consultant provides coordination and support for identified human resources operational processes, including development, coordination and communication of administrative and human resource policies, human resources reporting requirements, joint commission compliance, and facilitation of disciplinary processes and application of labor and employment law principles in day to day operations. The role acts as a resource partner and advocates assisting employees in accessing Human Resources as well as other Altru resources available to employees.
Essential Job Functions:

Provide consultative, advisory and coaching services to employees and leaders in functional areas including employee relations, performance management, staffing, disciplinary actions, regulatory requirements, legal compliance to mitigate risk. Participate in legal proceedings and or mediation activities.

Conduct and complete investigations of claims, issues and allegations in coordination as needed with legal services, compliance and other departments to make recommendations based on policies and practices for intervention and resolution. Investigations include interviewing skills, gathering facts, identifying the root cause, collaborative relations and supporting all involved.

Issue disciplinary processes based on outcomes of investigation and applied organizational policy. Advise and support leaders with involuntary separations by serving as a neutral HR representative, overseeing adherence to employee relations policy and the standard off-boarding process.

Support workforce re-alignments and/or reductions including HR related tasks, witnessing leader/employee notices, answering employee questions, and the off-boarding process

Document, monitor and analyze employee relations data, identifying organizational themes, opportunity for development, culture building, other.

Maintain accurate information related to employee relations and resources for employees and leaders, including social media responses related to the work environment as needed, and policy development and implementation.

Participates and takes accountability for special projects, programs, and processes as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
