    Talent Acquisition Specialist

NFI buses and motor coaches incorporate the widest range of drive systems available including: clean diesel, natural gas, diesel-electric hybrid, and zero-emission electric (trolley, battery, and fuel cell).  In total, NFI now supports over 105,000 buses and coaches currently in service around the world. 


    The newly created, Talent Acquisition Specialist, position works with the Talent Acquisition Manager, to support the NFI Recruitment strategy, specializing in sourcing talent.  The position will collaborate with internal and external partners to build diverse talent pipelines that supports the talent needs and community-based framework initiatives for NFI Group of companies with a strong focus on our Minnesota facilities.


    • Support the implementation and sustainability of the talent acquisition strategies including talent sourcing, customer experience and employer branding
    • Develop a pipeline of diverse candidates who we regularly engage with using innovative marketing tools, systems and processes
    • Collaborate with Production and Workforce Development Teams to meet hiring targets set by regional workforce development plans 
    • Support hiring forecasts through the development of strategic and timely recruitment activities including unconventional sourcing methods 
    • Establish strong relationships with Community Benefits Organizations (CBO’s) to source candidates from underrepresented, underserved and diverse groups
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting for employment agreements including but not limited to Community Benefits Agreement hiring and promotion target development and adherence.
    • Work with HR leadership for grants/program subsidies provided through Community Benefit Organization
    • Identify and communicate skill gaps & employment barriers to the Workforce Development team
    • Represent NFI Group of companies at career, college and recruitment fairs and similar events to attract talent
    • Report and analyze recruitment metrics to recommend improvements to recruitment process 
    • Support regional HR recruitment team as needed


    • Experience in Talent Acquisition with a great success rate
    • Experience sourcing a diverse set of candidates from a variety of programs, platforms, events, etc 
    • Strong emotional intelligence, with ability to connect and communicate with people of varying backgrounds, job positions, cultures, and communicative preferences
    • Skilled at organizing events/programs
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Highly organized with ability to multitask 
    • Detail oriented with experience reporting and analyzing data
    • Accountable for quality of work output to meet targets
    • Located in Minnesota to support on site teams in Crookston and St.Cloud, MN
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
    • Travel will be required 15 – 20%
