Event Overview:
Join us for our February meeting where Patrick Mineer will discuss a new way of connecting with our future workforce through students. In this environment, we need every tool at our disposal to develop our future workforce for the benefit of the organizations we support. In this session, we’ll learn about a new system that is being rolled out across North Dakota and Minnesota that helps us connect with high school students, the workforce of tomorrow. You’ll learn about Golden Path’s system Compass that is available to every employer in our region, and how it’s being rolled out to all students in North Dakota and communities in Minnesota (including East Grand Forks). Through Compass you can get connected with schools, help students understand your careers and how to get there, and facilitate you offering immediate work experiences as well as tuition reimbursement programs for long term workforce development. We’ll cover the sign-up process, talk about how to engage with our local schools, the options available, and how this plugs into workforce initiatives in our region and across the state.

Speaker Bio:
Patrick Mineer is the founder & CEO of Golden Path Solutions. Patrick is a consummate learner and problem-solver at heart, which is what he’s done through a variety of roles since graduating from Moorhead State University Moorhead, including stints in oil exploration, management, finance, HR & payroll operations, consulting, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Patrick graduated with degrees in English and Mathematics and spent many years working at Microsoft before starting Blue Fire Consulting in 2012 and founding Golden Path in 2019.

Directions: Park on the North side of the Grand Cities Mall in front of Hope Church (towards the West side of the mall). Enter the Hope Church main door (the door that is furthest West). The Big Connection Center can be found on the right side of the lobby area.
Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch or order ahead from Rumors, Mo's Cafe, or French Taste in Ferguson Books in the Grand Cities mall!
