Event Details
Program Summary: Stop the Bleed is an initiative with the goal of teaching business leaders, HR professionals, and members of the public bleeding control in the event of life-threatening hemorrhage, including:
- Learning proper bleeding control techniques
- How to use your hands to stop the bleeding
- How to dress wounds and apply a tourniquet
Speaker
Kirsten Hager has been involved in emergency medical services since 2011. She started her career as an EMT and progressed to a paramedic in 2013. Kirsten has worked in EMS both in the field and in flight. She is a current UND School of Medicine and Health Science student in her second year on the MD Program.
This training will be presented by Kirsten Hager with assistance from UND medical students.
This event is a collaborative effort between the American College of Surgeons, The Hartford Consensus, UND Medical Students, NOSHA, and GGFHRA.
This presentation is approved for 1.5 recertification credits through SHRM only.
Lunch for this event will be catered by Hugos.
