Our January chapter meeting will be held Thursday, January 11th at Scheels Conference Room in the Columbia Mall. The doors will open at 11:30am for members to network. We will have a short board member introduction and other announcements at 11:45am and then our guest speaker will begin right after that. Our guest speaker is David Bergstrom from Altru Health Systems Pastoral Services and he will discuss "Diversity Helps Us All".
The key learning objectives are:
1. Look at benefits of world traveling
2. Defining diversity
3. Consider different barriers to diversity and benefits of it
4. Discuss the importance of being open-minded
5. Examine the role of intelligence and creativity
6. Reflect on different studies that illustrate how diversity makes us smarter
This topic has been pre-approved for 1.5 General Recertification Credits for both HRCI and SHRM.
