GGFHRA's August Chapter meeting will be next Thursday, August 8th! The topic of the month's meeting is De-escalation Training presented by the Grand Forks Police Department Specialized Resource Bureau (SRB).
Program Summary: Sometimes HR professionals have to deal with anxious, hostile, or challenging behaviors. Learn how to respond and defuse the behaviors with de-escalation training.
The learning objectives are
1. Identify Threat
2. Manage responses when dealing with a difficult person
3. Preventing physical confrontation
About the SRB: Corporal Brian Robbins is with the Grand Forks Police Department and currently works in the Specialized Resource Bureau. The Specialized Resource Bureau (SRB) has a unique objective in that its focus is to meet the needs of the citizens of Grand Forks. Whether these needs are community based, educational, business related, or emergent in nature, SRB has a staff of officers and special teams to achieve these goals.
