- Dave will provide an overview of the unemployment insurance program including the appeals process involving issues related to separation from employment such as misconduct and voluntary leaving.
- He will review what is deemed to be “misconduct” for unemployment purposes, what is “good cause attributable to the employer” in cases involving a voluntary quit and the importance of first hand testimony and proper documentation.
- The workshop will also include a mock hearing with several members of the audience which will provide insight to the conduct of an actual appeal.
